Orthopaedic surgery, as a key clinical specialty at the municipal level, has become the most powerful orthopaedic diagnosis and treatment center with the most advanced equipment and the largest scale in Liaocheng City. There are 70 medical staff, including 13 chief physicians, 15 deputy chief physicians, 1 doctoral supervisor, 3 master supervisors, 9 doctoral students and 54 master students.     The department is divided into trauma surgery, spine surgery, joint surgery, hand surgery, pediatric orthopaedics, ankle surgery, sports medicine, bone tumors and other sub-specialties It has 4 clinics, 1 orthopaedic treatment room, 1 gypsum room and 4 wards, with 168 open beds, and has imported orthopaedic traction bed of Germany, Scott and Xerox arthroscopic system, MAXMORE spine endoscopy system, German original item C arm, 3D C arm, Swiss original G arm, surgical navigation system, 3D printing technology, Lycra operating microscope system, lower extremity venous pump, fracture treatment instrument, microwave therapy machine and CPM machine and other medical equipment.

    The department has undertaken a number of national natural science foundation, Shandong natural science foundation, Shandong province and Liaocheng science and technology project, a number of scientific research achievements won the Shandong province medical science and technology award, Liaocheng science and technology progress award, the recent five years published more than 30 SCI papers. In addition, it undertakes the undergraduate teaching and internship tasks of Taishan Medical College, and completes the teaching and clinical teaching tasks of socialized planning and training for clinical planning and training departments.
